This program culminates in Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) certification for teaching students aged 11-16, enabling you to teach in secondary schools across England and Wales. When opportunities arise, we also provide experience with the 11-18 age group.
Ensuring all students have the opportunity to master at least one foreign language to an advanced level is critically important.
This ongoing need for language education means schools consistently require expert language instructors to help students cultivate essential, enduring skills - and why aspiring language teachers can access some of the most generous training bursaries available. French, German, and Spanish dominate language programs in East London schools, with options including Italian, Russian, Mandarin, Japanese, Urdu, and Bengali.
At UEL, our teacher training will guide you in revealing language's beauty to young learners by demonstrating its practical applications in commerce, daily life, and cultural contexts.
Our secondary education training comprises three core components: subject specialization, general teaching principles, and practical school placements. What sets our program apart is its strong subject-focused approach.
We foster a cooperative rather than competitive environment, promoting collaborative learning methods that mirror real-world teaching scenarios you'll encounter in your future career.
