This program combines specialized research expertise with instruction in research advocacy and applying research to advance social justice. It aims to develop approaches and frameworks to confront and overcome systemic racism and inequity in UK and global communities, including within academic and research institutions. The MRes specifically seeks applicants from the 'Global Majority,' especially those from demographics underrepresented in research professions who hold an undergraduate degree and wish to pursue graduate studies in Creative Arts, Business Management, Bioscience, or Social Sciences to promote equity in an unstable world. The global majority encompasses individuals with recent ancestry from the global south (Africa, South Asia, South America) and other non-white ethnic backgrounds.
Applicants should have either a first class or upper second class honours degree from a UK Higher Education Institution, or an overseas qualification rated as equivalent.
