This four-year MEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering offers an accelerated pathway to leadership roles in the field. The specialized program prepares students to tackle challenges in electrical systems and digital electronics while developing innovative solutions for worldwide problems. You'll gain deep understanding of our technology-driven economy, observing its rapid transition toward autonomous digital systems, intelligent communication devices, automation, robotics, and green energy-powered smart technologies.
The curriculum integrates concepts from electronics, control systems, power engineering, automation, and robotics to create intelligent cognitive systems and devices. You'll master how applications and systems interact with objects, detect their positions, and execute precise movements.
Throughout the program, students explore engineering methodologies, product design, analog/digital electronics, and energy harvesting technologies through an interdisciplinary approach.

Qualification Requirements

A Level: Including passes at A2 in at least two subjects. Must include Maths and Physics or Electronics.
BTEC: Extended Diploma or Diploma in a related subject. Must include distinctions in both Mathematics and Further Mathematics.
International Baccalaureate: Diploma with 27 points including a minimum of 15 points at Higher Level and must include Maths and Physics at Higher Level.
Access to HE Diploma (QAA approved) in a Relevant Engineering Subject (Access to HE Engineering, Electronics and Computer Engineering, Construction and Civil Engineering) with 60 credits overall and 45 credits at Level 3 to include at least 30 Level 3 credits at Merit or Distinction and level 3 Maths (Calculus, Differentiation and Integration) - all with Grade Merit.
Level 2 equivalences such as Level 2 Functional Skills in English / Maths, Level 2 Key Skills in Communication / Application of Number and Level 2 Adult Literacy / Adult Numeracy.

For international students, overall Academic IELTS 6.0 with a minimum of 6.0 in Writing and Speaking, minimum 5.5 in Reading and Listening (or recognised equivalent).
