Our LLB (Hons) Law program serves as a qualifying legal degree, providing fundamental training for aspiring barristers or solicitors. You'll develop a comprehensive grasp of core legal concepts and systems, examining how they function within political, social, economic, and cultural frameworks. The curriculum covers legal processes and governance while investigating connections between legislation, individuals, and communities. In your final year, you can specialize by selecting from 16 optional modules. Gain practical experience at our renowned community Legal Advice Center, collaborating with local legal professionals to offer public legal services. This program fulfills all Solicitors Regulation Authority and Bar Standards Board requirements while offering accelerated pathways into legal executive roles or financial services careers. Study abroad options include terms at partner institutions in Holland, France, or Germany. Our foundation year option provides academic preparation for those without standard entry qualifications, offering essential skills training before progressing to the full degree.
This law program develops employer-valued competencies applicable across multiple sectors.
Graduates frequently pursue successful legal careers through the solicitors' qualification pathway.
Others enter the barrister profession, progressing to the Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) and securing pupillage positions. This pathway can lead to self-employed barrister tenancies or employed barrister practice opportunities.
