Our dynamic forensic psychology program prepares you for diverse careers across the criminal justice sector. While exploring individual motivations behind criminal acts, the curriculum also investigates how societal and psychological influences shape lives and contribute to unlawful behavior. Beginning with comprehensive training in core psychology principles, you'll focus on analyzing the complex relationship between psychological and social elements that may influence criminal conduct, examining research findings while considering personal narratives and lived experiences. You'll also gain thorough insight into criminal justice procedures.

This program provides students with both fundamental psychological knowledge and specialized expertise in forensic psychology concepts, studies, and applications. You'll learn to critically assess scholarly work, appraise its practical uses, and comprehend individual trajectories along with challenges in secure environment research and practice. By studying both empirical data and offender perspectives, you'll cultivate a thoughtful professional approach to forensic psychology research and practice. Graduates pursue careers with institutions like correctional facilities, probation services, youth justice teams, addiction treatment centers, and secure psychiatric hospitals. The degree also positions you well for advanced training required to qualify as a forensic psychologist.
