Our BSc Chemistry program provides comprehensive knowledge of core chemical principles, including molecular structures, properties, and reactions. You'll develop robust analytical and laboratory competencies while exploring physical, inorganic, and organic chemistry domains. The curriculum includes intensive lab training to boost your career prospects. An optional industrial placement year allows you to acquire sought-after practical experience, strengthening your graduate employability.
For applicants who don't fulfill standard entry criteria, we offer a foundation pathway. This preparatory year in biosciences enables progression to the full BSc program.
The degree concentrates on chemistry's four primary branches:
Analytical chemistry, covering spectroscopic techniques and quantitative/qualitative analysis
Inorganic chemistry, examining metallic compounds and mineral substances
Organic chemistry, focusing on carbon-based biological molecules
Physical chemistry, investigating energy-matter interactions
Specialized modules in medicinal chemistry and pharmaceutical research prepare students for developing innovative treatments against existing and emerging diseases.
