Our distinctive educational method focuses on fostering hands-on learning by guiding you to apply observational, prototyping, and physical simulation techniques in design, while also covering theoretical concepts, engineering fundamentals, and industry standards. You'll be empowered to think creatively, embrace innovation, and utilize cutting-edge digital tools to transform your ideas into detailed specifications for structural and system designs. For instance, during your final year, you won't just be creating structures from the ground up - you'll also employ advanced software and manufacturing equipment like 3D printers, laser cutters, robotic arms, and clay printers to produce scaled physical models of your designs. Alongside completing multiple hands-on projects, you'll gain insights from industry leaders through guest lectures that frequently lead to career opportunities. Our Docklands location provides prime access to study London's landmark developments including the Tate Modern expansion, Canary Wharf Crossrail Station, and Olympic Stadium renovations.
