Our program provides an engaging yet practical, hands-on experience in sports reporting. By graduation, you'll be a skilled multi-platform journalist, prepared to work across newspapers, magazines, radio, TV, digital platforms, and mobile applications.
Throughout the course, you might interview the England cricket team captain, cover a Football League game, tour Wembley Stadium or Sky Studios, or even write features from UEL's £21 million SportsDock facility in London's Olympic Park for our Rising East platform.Taught by experienced sports journalists, we'll nurture your passion for sports while equipping you to effectively communicate it to audiences.
You'll master every facet of sports journalism - from crafting instant match reports to producing televised sports content.Consider London your learning lab. You'll hone your skills by covering capital city sporting events and securing interviews. Past students have reported on events like the Europa League final and interviewed legends including Ray Wilkins, Andre Villas-Boas, and Alastair Cook.
The comprehensive training in sports writing will prepare you for diverse career opportunities in the sports industry.Our alumni have progressed not only into sports media but also related fields like sports PR and management.Graduates now work with organizations including media firm Red Bee, PR agency Weber Shandwick, and betting company Coral.
