On the BA (Hons) Illustration and Animation program, you'll have the opportunity to investigate and establish your unique approach within both fields, cultivating a practice that merges the boundaries between animation and illustration, without requiring the filmmaking expertise of the BA (Hons) Animation degree. Your studies will encompass traditional techniques (such as printmaking, publishing, 2D drawn animation, and stop-motion, alongside emerging hybrid technologies like 3D printing) as well as digital competencies (including digital 2D/3D animation methods, After Effects, Maya, and proficiency with Graphics Tablets for digital drawing). Through cross-disciplinary partnerships with students from areas like Fine Art Technology, Design Interaction, and Photography, you'll share expertise and gain access to specialized technical support across fields, equipping you with valuable advantages for the competitive job market and the demands of the fourth industrial revolution (4iR). Upon graduation, you'll possess versatile animation and illustration skills with the flexibility to thrive in Creative Industries 4.0, where traditional disciplinary boundaries continue to fade.
