The BA (Hons) Creative Writing (Screen) program focuses on crafting content for visual media platforms. Students explore diverse forms of screenwriting, from film and television scripts to digital content creation. The curriculum also emphasizes critical analysis of screen media and academic writing within the field of screenwriting studies.
By the final year, students identify their specialization and undertake a dissertation or major project in their chosen area. The program prioritizes developing practical skills and knowledge that prepare graduates for careers in the UK media sector and related industries.

Our program boasts numerous success stories. Remarkably, two alumni have found themselves competing in the same television genre
Danielle Jawando, who completed both her undergraduate and postgraduate studies with us, now writes for prominent TV soap operas. Playwright Jonny O'Neill saw his first EastEnders episode air in September 2014.
Jawando credits her achievements to the guidance from our faculty. "I gained the courage to experiment creatively and, most significantly, to submit my work professionally," she reflects.
Her accomplishments include being considered for Emmerdale and publishing a short story during her studies. O'Neill's inaugural play, The Royal Duchess Superstore, premiered at a London theater.
