Our Law School boasts a distinguished history of fostering groundbreaking, globally recognized research. Faculty members possess internationally acclaimed expertise spanning diverse specialized fields, such as: arbitration and dispute resolution, commercial and corporate law, competition policy, (international) criminal law and justice systems, environmental law and sustainability, European Union legislation, human rights protections, insurance regulations, information technology & intellectual property law, international legal frameworks, investment law, property law, legal philosophy, media regulations, healthcare law, law enforcement practices, protest rights legislation, and asylum law. Numerous researchers conduct empirical and cross-disciplinary studies, with the School actively nurturing emerging talents while enhancing established strengths like the Centre for Competition Policy (a collaborative initiative with Economics, Business, and Political Science departments). We take particular pride in mentoring early-career academics and doctoral candidates, many of whom have authored exceptional publications. Our research community enjoys state-of-the-art postgraduate facilities in the beautifully restored Earlham Hall on UEA's campus.

Qualification Requirements

Successful candidates are normally expected to achieve 60% or above overall, that is:
(a) a minimum Merit award in an LLM, or
(b) 60% in a Master's degree (or equivalent) including a minimum of 65% in the dissertation or research component.

IELTS - 7.0 overall with minimum of 6.5 in each component.
TOEFL iBT - 98, (Reading 20,Writing 19 , Listening 19, Speaking 21), Pearson Academic English - 76 overall with minimum of 67 in each component.
