Our full-time, one-year Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) Secondary Physics program prepares you to teach science to students aged 11-16, with optional Sixth Form extension. This pathway allows you to gain experience teaching post-16 learners if desired.

After successfully completing the PGCE, you'll earn Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) plus 90 Master's credits. QTS certifies you to teach students up to age 18.

Our PGCE Master's program seamlessly combines school placements (minimum 120 days) with university training to establish a strong professional foundation. Beyond introducing essential teaching knowledge and skills, the course enables you to explore current educational research, helping you develop effective teaching strategies based on how students learn best.
