This program provides essential hands-on and academic journalism training to prepare you for media careers or related fields. You'll also cultivate critical thinking skills to analyze news reporting's inherent characteristics and constraints.
While some classes occur on campus, most instruction happens at our specialized media facility in downtown Norwich, Broadcast House. Located in former Radio Broadland and Heart Radio studios, our center occupies a renovated space in this picturesque, media-rich city. UEA completely refurbished the building in 2021, creating three specialized soundproof studios: one for radio, one for television, and one for podcasts. The facility also includes a 24-workstation newsroom with Adobe Audition, Premier Pro software, and a state-of-the-art television control room.
