In this program, you'll integrate economic principles with management, finance, and accounting perspectives. This approach provides knowledge of the economic environment shaping contemporary business and finance, equipping you with essential skills for professional success. Core coursework in economics, statistics, finance, business, and accounting is balanced with opportunities to specialize in these fields as you advance through your degree.
By pairing the BSc Business Finance and Economics with a placement year, you'll typically dedicate nine to twelve months during your third year to full-time work experience. This allows you to develop crucial career skills in your chosen sector. While you'll need to secure your own placement, specialized staff from both the School and Careers Service will guide you through the search, application, and hiring process. Ongoing support continues during your placement and when you return for your fourth (final) academic year.
Based primarily in the School of Economics, you'll also receive training from Norwich Business School. Leveraging the combined strengths of both institutions, this program prepares you thoroughly for careers in business management's financial aspects.
