Media plays an increasingly influential role in modern society, creating celebrities and shaping perceptions. It serves as both an information source and a tool of influence. Our Media Studies program with a Placement Year equips you to analyze and impact this dynamic landscape. During Year 3, you'll complete an industry placement, bridging academic learning with professional experience while developing valuable skills. This program prepares you for diverse career paths, whether in media or other fields, providing essential knowledge, analytical abilities, technical expertise, and practical experience for success in today's workplace. You'll study various media forms with guidance from our renowned faculty, examining key theories and concepts while gaining hands-on production skills across multiple formats including film, television, podcasts, radio, and digital media.
A Levels
ABB. If you are taking an EPQ and three A-levels, we may offer you a one grade reduction on our advertised typical offer alongside an A in the EPQ.
T Levels
Obtain an overall Pass including a B in the core of the T Level and a Distinction in the Occupational Specialism. Any subject is acceptable.
BTEC
Extended Diploma: DDM excluding BTEC Public Services, Uniformed Services and Business Administration. See below for accepted subjects and combinations.

Pass the Access to HE Diploma with Distinction in 30 credits at Level 3 and Merit in 15 credits at Level 3.
International Baccalaureate
32 points.
GCSE
You are required to have Mathematics and English Language at a minimum of Grade C or Grade 4 or above at GCSE.
 
English Foreign Language
Applications from students whose first language is not English are welcome. We require evidence of proficiency in English (including writing, speaking, listening and reading):
IELTS: 6.0 overall (minimum 5.5 in all components)
TOEFL IBT - 79 (Reading 18,Writing 17 , Listening 17, Speaking 20).
Pearson Academic English - 64 overall with minimum of 59 in each component.
