If you're passionate about history but don't currently meet the entry requirements for our three-year program, our History with a Foundation Year provides an excellent pathway. This intensive year of study allows you to explore fascinating subjects while building essential academic skills. Our approach combines challenging coursework with exceptional support, creating a truly fulfilling learning experience.

After successfully finishing your Foundation Year, you'll be ideally prepared to progress to our BA History program or request a transfer to another undergraduate course within the Faculty of Arts and Humanities.

You'll learn from passionate educators in UEA's Interdisciplinary Institute for the Humanities, engaging with diverse subjects such as Literature, History, Philosophy, Film Studies, Media, American Studies, Politics, and Art History.
