This dynamic History and Politics program lets you examine the connections between modern political issues and world history while learning from leading scholars. You'll engage with cutting-edge research and contemporary debates, developing skills in careful analysis, sound decision-making, and compelling argumentation. The program encourages you to question conventional perspectives while respectfully considering alternative viewpoints. By combining these complementary fields, you'll sharpen your critical thinking abilities. Offered collaboratively by the History Department and the Politics, Philosophy, Language and Communication Studies Department, you'll benefit from both schools' strengths. Your instructors are research leaders - UEA ranked 3rd in the UK for History research quality and 14th for Politics and International Studies in the 2021 REF assessment by Times Higher Education.
