The film and television sectors represent interconnected global industries worth billions, profoundly influencing our worldview. UEA was at the forefront of academic study in these fields and continues to be a premier institution for media education. This program delves into the historical, artistic, and cultural facets of screen media while examining the social, political, and industrial forces that shape them. You'll examine pivotal moments in cinematic and broadcast history while engaging with theoretical frameworks that help interpret the media we consume daily.
Course subjects may range from analyzing Doctor Who's worldwide impact to following Marvel's transition from comics to screens, exploring international film movements, or studying Hollywood productions and scriptwriting techniques. Complementing your academic work, you'll gain hands-on experience creating original content and developing writing skills across various media formats.
