The Diploma in Professional Legal Practice is a postgraduate vocational program that enables graduates to enter Scotland's legal field as either solicitors or advocates.
Taught mainly by active legal practitioners, this program connects theoretical legal education with practical professional requirements. Students gain hands-on legal skills while learning about Scottish legal ethics and professional standards.
Graduates become qualified for a two-year Scottish legal traineeship to become solicitors. Additional training is required for those pursuing advocacy careers.
Our curriculum meets all competency standards established by the Law Society of Scotland, focusing on practical legal abilities within an ethical professional framework.
Students enhance their undergraduate legal knowledge and research capabilities, applying them to real-world scenarios through interactive teaching methods.
