This program fosters connections between philosophy and psychology. We focus on continental (European) philosophy, guiding students through seminal works from this intellectual tradition.
Our approach demonstrates philosophy's relevance to modern challenges by examining films and art, discussing scientific breakthroughs, engaging in ethical debates, and showing how centuries-old texts remain applicable to current political contexts.
Students gain foundational knowledge in both ancient and contemporary philosophy, covering essential concepts in ethics, epistemology (the study of knowledge), and metaphysics (the nature of existence), before focusing on areas that align with their personal interests.
Psychology examines the scientific understanding of human cognition and actions. The curriculum explores infant learning, cognitive development across lifespans, personality variations, group dynamics, and psychological conditions.
Beyond studying human nature, the program develops critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Students master data analysis, effective scientific writing, and confident science communication. The coursework includes designing, executing, and evaluating original research projects.
