Economists study how communities strive to optimize their limited assets, enabling them to provide guidance to governments, individuals, and businesses for enhancing choices and results.
Conventionally, economists offer counsel on investments, price rises, borrowing costs, and manufacturing. Yet modern economics now embraces broader concerns, with numerous experts investigating environmental issues, wealth disparity, and healthcare advancements.
Our Economics program concentrates particularly on large-scale economic issues affecting nations, regions, and the world economy, alongside the small-scale decision-making of individuals and firms.
In History, we cover societal, cultural, and political developments from early modern times to the present day, with emphasis on Britain, Europe, the Americas, Africa, and South Asia.
From your first year, you'll work with original documents and evaluate diverse historical materials, including texts, interviews, cartographic representations, photographs, movies, artworks, and musical compositions.
