This program provides an opportunity to enhance your abilities, understanding, and self-assurance before progressing to the first stage of your honors degree. You can opt for a general LLB or select from our specialized LLB tracks in Company and Commercial Law, International and Comparative Law, International Business Law, or Social and Public Policy. Acquire essential legal sector competencies such as drafting, advocacy, client interviews, and negotiation techniques. Gain hands-on experience through our Student Legal Advice Center by assisting individuals who face barriers to accessing legal support. Specialized courses will sharpen your entrepreneurial mindset, creative problem-solving, teamwork, business insight, and digital proficiency, expanding your career possibilities even further.
Graduates of our LLB (Hons) program pursue careers as barristers, solicitors, paralegals, and chartered legal executives across private practices, the Crown Prosecution Service, judicial systems, law centers, police departments, and government agencies.
For those not seeking legal practice, the LLB serves as a foundation for diverse fields. Legal expertise enables strategic contributions in civil service, investment banking, management consulting, compliance, insurance, human resources, politics, urban planning, construction, publishing, and education. These skills are equally valuable for entrepreneurial ventures.
From your first day, our Careers and Employment Service prepares you for professional success, ensuring you graduate as an industry-ready professional with market awareness and initiative. Our Personal Development Planning (PDP) initiative helps you track your growth and career goals throughout your studies.
Post-graduation support continues for three years, with ongoing career guidance available from our Careers and Employment Service after leaving the university.
