The Foundation Year pathway transitions into the Diagnostic Radiography degree, accredited by the College of Radiographers and approved by the Health and Care Professions Council. Upon graduation and meeting HCPC standards, you'll qualify to register as a diagnostic radiographer. The BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography with Foundation Year is designed for students with academic potential who may lack the formal qualifications for direct entry into the honors program. It establishes essential foundations while introducing key concepts, allowing you to complete your full honors degree in four years.
Successful graduates of the BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography program can apply for HCPC registration as diagnostic radiographers (subject to meeting requirements), equipping them for careers in the growing medical imaging sector.
