Our goal is to cultivate the boldness to uncover, redefine, re-envision, and question traditional approaches to the field. You'll be inspired to innovate and redefine illustration, with chances to participate in real-world projects and prestigious competitions that will push you to investigate creative solutions, sequential visuals, character development, reportage, and editorial illustration.
You'll have access to our drawing studio, printmaking workshop, and Digital Design Hub, where you'll engage with both classic and modern methods like sketching, screen-printing, linocut, monoprinting, drypoint, risograph, solar etching, photography, digital art, 3D modeling, painting, and mixed-media collage.
An art-school environment will guide you in honing craft and design abilities, visual communication, and cultivating a distinctive creative style to produce illustrations for diverse applications, including publishing, editorial work, educational materials, graphic novels, storytelling, printmaking, animation, children's literature, and packaging.
This program readies you for a vibrant illustration career, with prospects in newspaper and magazine editorial, education, publishing and book arts, children's books, graphic novels, print production, advertising, and the broader design sector. Some alumni also become writers, educators, and picture/research editors. Since many illustrators work independently, the course also provides business acumen and an entrepreneurial mindset.
