Building upon the foundation of our PGCE Secondary program, this Physics specialization equips you with the essential skills for teaching in secondary schools, where you'll design and conduct dynamic science classes. This distinctive focus area provides a chance to motivate future astronomers, engineers, and weather scientists.

Your education will combine academic knowledge with practical application, all while adhering to the National Curriculum standards. You'll examine core principles and topics within the PGCE syllabus, gaining the ability to create and present compelling lessons for students aged 11 to 16.

More than 50% of the program involves classroom-based assessed placements, combining school enrichment activities with university studies. You'll complete two placements in diverse educational environments, accumulating valuable experience to propel your professional growth.

Qualification Requirements

You are welcome to apply if you have achieved a 2:2 or above in Physics, GCSE English Language and GCSE Maths at grade C/4.
A satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) background clearance check and Occupational Health check prior to starting the course.
A satisfactory academic (University) reference, or, a satisfactory professional reference if it is more than 3 years since academic study.

IELTS Academic - Overall 6.5 with 5.5 minimum in each area.
TOEFL iBT - Overall 80 Reading - 18, Listening -17, Writing - 17, Speaking - 20.
