Upon graduation, you'll be fully qualified to begin teaching in primary schools immediately. This program thoroughly prepares you to deliver captivating and effective lessons in primary education environments.
Your learning will combine theoretical knowledge with practical application, all within the National Curriculum structure. You'll develop crucial teaching abilities and concepts - from understanding child development to behavior management, lesson planning, and differentiated instruction. More than 50% of the program involves hands-on teaching practice through assessed placements, complemented by Intensive Training and Practice (ITAP) sessions alongside university studies. You'll complete three evaluated placements in diverse school settings, accumulating valuable experience to propel your professional growth. These carefully sequenced placements progressively build your teaching expertise, allowing you to implement and refine your skills as the course advances.
