This Pharmacology MSci program is designed for students aiming for careers or advanced studies in pharmacology and related fields. Building upon the Pharmacology BSc, it includes an extra year dedicated to conducting your own significant, innovative research project while taking advanced coursework. The initial year consists entirely of mandatory modules, providing essential knowledge in chemistry, biochemistry, cell biology, physiology, statistics, and pharmacology fundamentals. This foundation prepares students for subsequent years of study. The second year continues with mostly required courses, now concentrating on pharmacological principles, with a strong focus on hands-on laboratory work and experimental techniques through a dedicated major module. While most second-year content is compulsory, students can select one optional module.
