The MSci Human Sciences and Evolution is a four-year combined Masters program that parallels the BSc Human Sciences curriculum. This interdisciplinary course blends life sciences with social and historical studies, providing diverse options and adaptability, with a focus on human evolutionary studies in the concluding year. This four-year integrated degree cultivates comprehensive scientific understanding of humanity, culminating in specialized evolutionary science studies during the final year. The program is jointly administered by two globally renowned departments: the Division of Biosciences and the Department of Anthropology. According to the 2022 QS World University Rankings, UCL secured fourth place globally for Anthropology and eighth for Life Sciences and Medicine.
Human Sciences and Evolution provides extensive module selection across life sciences, social sciences, historical studies, and other disciplines. Following foundational coursework in the first year, students can customize their academic path within Human Sciences while developing expertise in human evolutionary sciences.
