This Master of Science program explores how people perceive the social world and the mechanisms driving social judgments and actions. The curriculum leverages pioneering research from faculty specializing in social cognition, social endocrinology, socio-cognitive neuroscience, and decision-making processes, offering innovative insights into human social nature. The program aims to address real-world societal challenges in areas like climate change, mental health, inequality, and social conflict. Students will gain insights into how human emotional, cognitive, and neural systems have developed to facilitate social coordination and environmental adaptation. Core subjects cover: social perception, motivation, attitudes, embodiment, emotions, social judgment and decision-making, and social neuroscience.
