This Master's program explores mental health and wellbeing in educational settings through the perspective of psychological science. Working with our internationally renowned, research-focused faculty, you'll analyze both theoretical frameworks and empirical research to understand education's distinctive role in mental health and wellbeing. Leveraging our department's global expertise and active research faculty, the curriculum offers comprehensive scientific knowledge about mental health in educational environments. The program applies foundational theories and research from developmental and educational psychology to study how learning environments interact with personal traits, family backgrounds, and community factors in shaping mental health outcomes. Through coursework, guided discussions, collaborative projects, research activities, and self-directed study, you'll develop an evidence-based, analytical perspective. Elective courses enable exploration of relevant psychological and educational topics, including special educational requirements.
