Housing stands as a fundamental human necessity, yet creating sufficient, well-designed homes in suitable locations remains an unresolved challenge for most Global North nations. This MSc program provides a multidisciplinary approach to housing issues in developed economies, incorporating insights from faculty members and industry professionals. Participants will hone their design, analytical, and communication abilities while tackling real-world scenarios that challenge their innovative thinking and solution-finding capabilities. The course examines both UK-specific housing policies and international examples, alongside worldwide discussions about housing provision.

Qualification Requirements

An upper second-class Bachelor’s degree (or higher) from a UK university. Overseas qualifications of an equivalent standard will also be considered. Admissions tutors may, at their discretion, consider applications from students who have not achieved this but hold professional qualifications (e.g. RTPI) or can demonstrate substantial work experience in the field of housing development, planning for housing, or housing design. (Applicants will still be expected to meet the minimum UCL requirement of a 2:2, however.)Overall grade of 7.0 with a minimum of 6.5 in each of the subtests. Overall score of 100 with 24/30 in reading and writing and 20/30 in speaking and listening.
