UCL's MSc in Dental Public Health enjoys a prestigious reputation both nationally and globally. Learners will receive instruction from experts in the UCL Dental Public Health Research Group, a WHO Collaborating Centre for Oral Health Inequalities and Public Health directed by Professor Richard Watt. This field applies public health concepts to oral conditions, focusing on disease prevention, health promotion, and enhancing life quality through population-level strategies.
Our curriculum presents a rigorous and inventive educational experience. Students gain comprehensive understanding of oral health determinants, along with proven methods for improving oral health and addressing disparities. Beyond exploring dental public health fundamentals, participants develop expertise in epidemiology, statistics, research methodologies, and designing/evaluating oral health initiatives and dental care systems. The program fosters engagement and inspiration, promoting active learning through small-group sessions that encourage questioning and reexamining established viewpoints.
