Qualification Requirements

Normally, a minimum of an upper second-class Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (i.e., psychology, criminology, policing, international relations, security studies, law, geography, sociology, political science) from a UK university or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard. Evidence of having completed modules in research methods, quantitative/qualitative methods, statistics or data science is an advantage. Alternatively candidates may qualify for entry if they can offer five or more years of relevant professional experience. The English language level for this programme is: Level 3

UCL Pre-Master's and Pre-sessional English courses are for international students who are aiming to study for a postgraduate degree at UCL. The courses will develop your academic English and academic skills required to succeed at postgraduate level. International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic Version - Overall score of 7.0 and a minimum of 7.0 in each component. Test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL) - Overall score of 100 with 25/30 in reading and writing and 23/30 in speaking and listening.
