This program is designed to provide students from diverse academic fields with the research capabilities, knowledge, and insights needed to address pressing and emerging global urban challenges. These include enhancing the durability of urban systems and their supporting infrastructure against disruptions caused by environmental, economic, and technological risks. UCL's Civil, Environmental & Geomatic Engineering department delivers a robust and engaging Urban Sustainability and Resilience MRes curriculum. The course is structured to give students thorough research techniques and approaches relevant to sustainability and resilience studies.

Participants will examine the complex research workflow, gaining proficiency in employing various methods to solve practical urban issues. The program emphasizes critical analysis of policies, procedures, innovations, and materials that will define tomorrow's cities, cultivating expertise in creating sustainable and adaptable urban environments for generations to come.

Qualification Requirements

A minimum of an upper second-class Bachelor’s degree from a UK university in a subject appropriate to the chosen field, or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard. Relevant subjects include, but are not limited to, engineering, science, social sciences, architecture, town planning, economics and geography.Overall grade of 7.0 with a minimum of 6.5 in each of the subtests. Overall score of 100 with 24/30 in reading and writing and 20/30 in speaking and listening.
