This collaborative program, offered by the UCL School of Management and the Department of Economics, delivers an exceptional educational and research opportunity for students seeking advanced expertise in financial economics. The rigorous selection process ensures participants acquire the necessary capabilities to produce innovative, high-quality research, equipping them for academic careers in this discipline. The MRes and PhD in Financial Economics represents a partnership between UCL's Department of Economics and School of Management. Financial support through scholarships, covering both tuition and living costs, is available for successful applicants who submit their materials during the January 2024 admissions period.
The MRes curriculum begins with intensive quantitative instruction in microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics, and finance, all presented through the lens of contemporary research and practical applications.
