This empirically grounded program targets researchers looking to push boundaries by examining connections between spatial configurations and societal impacts, as well as the intersection of architectural design principles with computational methods. The Architectural Space & Computation MPhil/PhD is linked to the prestigious Space Syntax Laboratory. Designed for rigorous academic inquiry, this program focuses on investigating how spatial arrangements influence social results and how architectural knowledge interacts with computing technologies. Candidates must demonstrate independent thinking to produce novel insights that advance their field's scholarly dialogue. They should thoughtfully engage with evolving disciplinary frontiers and the dynamic architectural practice landscape, recognizing how broader social and institutional factors shape these changes. Your research proposal plays a pivotal role in our admissions evaluation, as it showcases your capacity to define and present an autonomous research direction.
