Electronic and electrical engineers develop the innovations that power today's digital age, spanning rapid communication systems, sustainable offshore energy solutions, and next-generation autonomous transportation for smart urban environments. Similar to our BEng program, the MEng curriculum explores essential mathematical principles, physics concepts, programming skills, and engineering foundations behind these technologies, while the extra fourth year enables deeper exploration of advanced subjects at Master's level. The initial two years of the MEng program focus on core concepts crucial to electronic and electrical engineering. By your second year, you'll choose between completing a BEng degree or progressing with the MEng, with options to specialize in: Communications; Computer Science; Nanotechnology; or the International Program. The International Program (Year Abroad) offers MEng candidates the opportunity to spend their third academic year at a prestigious global partner institution.
Each academic year incorporates substantial project-based learning, culminating in a major team project during the final year that may involve groundbreaking research or the creation of novel software and hardware solutions. Early coursework features Engineering Challenges and intensive Scenario weeks that teach practical application of theoretical knowledge to address authentic engineering challenges.
