The Master of Arts in Social Justice and Education equips students to analyze and interpret major sociological and philosophical viewpoints regarding social justice in education, encompassing matters of race, socioeconomic status, gender, and sexual orientation. Learners will investigate both individual and societal aspects of social justice issues while enhancing their professional, practical, and research capabilities. This course enables participants to navigate the intricate connections between social justice and education, with a special emphasis on sociological frameworks.
Participants will cultivate advanced theoretical, methodological, and analytical competencies in educational research, concentrating on contemporary policy discussions, theoretical frameworks, conceptual challenges, and political dialogues about education's societal role. The program encourages students to develop strategies for tackling urgent social justice matters in their professional, activist, and/or personal contexts.
