The MA Education (Assessment) program delves into assessment theories, practices, policies, and applications across all educational stages. Our curriculum enables students to examine assessment through multiple lenses by incorporating theories from policy research, sociology, philosophy, psychology, and other disciplines. Participants study alongside globally recognized assessment specialists, gaining essential research competencies applicable to various educational careers or advanced doctoral studies. Graduates of this program acquire the ability to critically analyze assessment through policy, practical, philosophical, historical, and sociological viewpoints. They develop analytical thinking skills, learn to utilize diverse assessment materials, and master fundamental educational assessment concepts—equipping them to meaningfully contribute to assessment policy and practice at local, national, and international levels. The course cultivates advanced writing abilities valuable for research, policy development, and roles within assessment organizations or educational institutions.

This program is ideal for educators, school administrators, examination coordinators, inspectors, education researchers, and policy makers. Applicants should possess some background in assessment, whether through classroom experience or policy research work. We encourage applications from professionals seeking to enhance their expertise in assessment-related topics, including learning evaluation techniques, formative/summative assessments, educational measurement, and assessment research methodologies.
