The MA program explores the connections between artistic practice, cultural studies, and teaching methodologies, empowering students to pioneer new approaches to educational research across various settings including art institutions, schools, exhibition spaces, and alternative art education venues. Formerly titled MA Art and Design in Education, this course has produced graduates who become leading figures in the broader realm of art education. We seek applicants with robust practical and theoretical engagement in redefining art education for contemporary times. Ideal candidates are those fascinated by the crossroads of art and pedagogy, with hands-on experience in both teaching and artistic creation. Participants gain exposure to diverse perspectives spanning different stages and environments of art education. We welcome applications from educators across all levels (early childhood, primary, secondary, higher education), as well as museum professionals and independent arts educators operating in both traditional and unconventional learning spaces (community programs, cultural institutions, healthcare facilities, correctional centers, etc.). Practicing artists aiming to work or currently engaged in educational settings like galleries, schools, or universities are also encouraged to apply.
