This program introduces an innovative and analytical perspective on architecture and historical urban settings at a top-tier architecture institution. We exist in an era of global challenges, where the constructed world has historically exacerbated these issues. However, in a future where most structures already exist, the built environment must become a catalyst for meaningful change. The program drives an immediate and fundamental shift, challenging students to thoughtfully examine history to reshape tomorrow—reinventing, revitalizing, and reimagining urban spaces at every level.
With London serving as an exceptional learning environment, students are urged to investigate history by meticulously assessing current conditions, uncovering and tackling systemic disparities—environmental, racial, spatial, and social—embedded in cityscapes worldwide.
Guided by an acclaimed faculty of globally recognized designers, historians, and scholars, students explore cutting-edge urban approaches while addressing critical topics in cultural heritage, alongside mastering urban surveying, documentation, mapping, and analysis. The program fosters individual creativity and critical thinking, culminating in a Final Project that embodies its mission: forging fairer futures from uneven histories.
