We envision a faculty that serves as a diverse, inclusive, and truly equitable environment for both staff and students – combining competitiveness with compassion to pursue excellence and enable every member to thrive. In today's evolving European landscape, understanding another nation's legal system proves invaluable for academic and professional growth. This four-year course features a year abroad at either Universität zu Köln or Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München in Germany, culminating in a UCL Bachelor of Laws degree. Our Law Faculty delivers an extensive curriculum through diverse teaching approaches. The program offers both a broad liberal arts foundation and preparation for careers spanning the legal field and beyond, including public service, local governance, social work, academia, military, business, media, finance, and accounting.

The first academic year begins with a two-week orientation: Laws' Connections: Legal Doctrine and Contemporary Challenges. This introductory program serves as an engaging gateway to legal studies at UCL Laws and explores law's vital role in tackling societal issues.
