Law firms actively seek attorneys with financial acumen and economic understanding, while financial institutions value professionals with legal training. Similarly, regulatory bodies require experts fluent in both legal and financial domains.Our groundbreaking postgraduate program responds to these industry demands by offering a comprehensive educational experience that breaks traditional academic silos. Students develop the analytical tools to understand the dynamic relationship between legal frameworks and financial systems, preparing them to address sophisticated challenges in contemporary markets. The curriculum covers essential principles of financial economics, market operations, institutional functions, and corporate regulatory structures. Graduates will be able to recognize the interplay between legal and financial considerations when evaluating complex transactions, including corporate financing, mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, and organizational restructuring.Target Audience:The program welcomes applicants with backgrounds in either law or finance-related fields such as economics or accounting. Students lacking foundational knowledge in either discipline will complete preparatory coursework before the program's official commencement, which may necessitate arriving in London ahead of schedule.
Academic requirements: A high 2:1 which will normally mean an average of at least 68% (or equivalent in other jurisdictions) across all years of study. We may consider applicants who are close to but have not met this threshold if they have extensive practical experience and where spaces on the programme are available. English Language requirements: IELTS: Overall score of 7.5 and a minimum of 7.0 in each component.
TOEFL: Overall score of 109 with 27/30 in reading and writing and 23/30 in speaking and listening.
