This three-year course provides an alternative version of the in-depth curriculum found in the Physics BSc degree. Students will gain expert understanding of the theoretical framework behind fundamental physics concepts. Ideal for those with exceptional mathematical aptitude and enthusiasm, the program features mandatory first-year modules establishing core knowledge in quantum and classical physics, supported by mathematical principles and hands-on training that incorporates computing skills. A practical mathematics component is also included.
During the second year, students undertake required modules covering quantum physics applications in atomic and molecular structures, statistical thermodynamics, electromagnetic theory, and additional mathematics. The third year finalizes the quantum mechanics and condensed matter components of the core syllabus.
