This evidence-based BSc program presents fundamental biomedical science concepts primarily through the lens of infection and immunity research. Leveraging UCL Division of Infection & Immunity's cutting-edge research, it offers students authentic exposure to high-level scientific discovery processes. The curriculum teaches the terminology and principles of infection and immunity, introduces contemporary theories, develops analytical skills for evaluating research, and fosters scientific reasoning abilities. Students build research confidence while adopting an investigator's mindset. The program provides comprehensive knowledge about the immune system's function and pathogens' roles in health and disease, along with exposure to modern research on disease mechanisms, prevention strategies, and immunological disorders.
