This program offers archaeological training centered on examining ancient artifacts and historical environments, along with theoretical frameworks and fieldwork methods. Archaeological science explores key aspects of past civilizations, with chances to engage in ongoing studies utilizing our comprehensive labs and diverse reference materials.
The Archaeology BA and BSc programs share numerous foundational courses during the first two years. In the second year, BSc students take a required module titled 'Applications of Archaeological Science.' This essential course introduces analytical methods for addressing archaeological inquiries (including petrography, elemental analysis, archaeobotany, spatial studies, and conservation), while covering the process of developing research projects (from proposals and literature reviews to methodologies, sampling, analysis, and presentation).
