Our Swedish and Yiddish degree program provides extensive opportunities to cultivate comprehensive, cross-cultural perspectives in the humanities. Students can select from diverse course offerings spanning literature, linguistic studies, historical contexts, social sciences, philosophical thought, artistic expression, cinema, and various cultural aspects tied to the languages they'll master. Swedish language courses are conducted through UCL's School of European Languages, Culture & Society (SELCS), while Yiddish instruction is provided by UCL's Hebrew & Jewish Studies department.
During your first, second, and final academic years, you'll enroll in language courses along with complementary studies in associated literature, cultural studies, historical frameworks, and linguistic analysis.
