Our Russian and Swedish program provides extensive opportunities to cultivate comprehensive, comparative, and cross-cultural perspectives in the humanities. Students can select from diverse course options spanning literature, linguistic studies, history, sociology, philosophy, visual arts, cinema, and other cultural aspects tied to their chosen language(s). During the first, second, and final years, participants will engage in language instruction for their selected tongues alongside related cultural studies. The curriculum also incorporates interdisciplinary offerings from SELCS and SSEES, covering literary works, cinematography, language studies, and historical examinations.
The third year involves international study abroad. All students attain equivalent language proficiency, whether beginning a new language or building upon prior knowledge.
