Our degree program in Polish and Portuguese provides exceptional opportunities to cultivate comprehensive, comparative, and cross-cultural perspectives in the humanities. Students can select from an extensive array of modules encompassing literature, linguistic studies, history, sociology, philosophy, visual arts, cinema, and other cultural aspects tied to their chosen language(s). During the first, second, and final years, participants will engage with language instruction in their selected tongues alongside related cultural studies. The curriculum also incorporates interdisciplinary offerings from SELCS and SSEES, covering literature, film studies, linguistics, and historical approaches.
The third year involves international study, divided between two nations where the target languages are spoken. All students attain equivalent language proficiency levels, whether beginning a new language or building upon prior knowledge.
