This program blends focused study in humanities or social sciences with a diverse interdisciplinary foundation covering history, law, politics, and philosophy, alongside achieving proficiency in a foreign language. Initial coursework in year one helps you explore interests and identify a specialization. Your curriculum consists of three components: the foundational first-year course, language and cultural studies, and specialized humanities or social science electives.
The core first-year course immerses you in multidisciplinary learning, exposing you to various academic fields and encouraging critical analysis of different theoretical approaches. Language instruction continues throughout the program, with students concentrating on mastering one chosen language.
Your third academic year involves international study outside Europe, ideally in a region where your target language is predominantly spoken. Final destinations may be influenced by geopolitical factors and availability. French language students typically study in Canada, while Spanish learners generally complete their year abroad in Latin America.
